Mrs. Brittany’s Newsletter Feb. 6-10
Parent/Guardian,
This week we will be starting a new unit in social studies, A New Nation. The students will learn about the beginning of the United States and how we created the constitution, government, etc. In math, we will continue fractions by working on multiplying and dividing fractions. Fractions are usually difficult for the students. If you can help them with their homework at home that would be great. In reading, we will continue with the novel, My Brother Sam is Dead. This is an award winning novel and the students usually enjoy it. The novel is set in the time of the American Revolution. There are a few choice words in the novel from that time period which I will explain to the students beforehand.
